As a wannabe author, I can easily come up with interesting visual concepts, and when one applies that to Superheros and comics, that leads to something even more spectacular.

One of these is the Ronin Titans: a Japanese version of the Teen Titans, which would've been based on stereotypes/archetypes of Japanese/Anime` programs.

The problem? I've got no artistic ability, and just as much patience to develope them.

Therefore, I hock out my ideas on those that do and hope that they can do it for me. ^_^

Now, to anyone who sees this and is familiar with the Teen Titans cartoons and are looking for a challenge/an escape from other projects, I have a prompt for you: Draw the Ronin Titans! Fortunatly, two of the members have already been shown in the franchise, so no designs are needed, just recreation, and I have prompts and refferences to work with for the other three.

The most important thing to remember is that with any visuals I give, you have to try to apply it to the asthetic sensabilities of the AS.

The leader is Bushido, as shown in the episode Calling All Titans from season 5, who is a Japanese Robin.

Next is the shapeshifter/Beast Boy of the group: Neko(Cat), who is a surviving pink Nya-Nya clone from the movie Trouble in Tokyo. (something I found interesting: judging by the translation of her only dialogue, the Nya-Nya-or at least the original-was a dominatrix. And since I see Neko and Bushido's relationship being the teams Rob/Star<the latter is seen by the former as her 'Hero' Sensei as well>, that'll make things interesting)

Now for the truely original characters.

First, we have Amaterasu, an Alien heiress to a Starliner fortune, so she's somewhat spoiled and selfish, and really is only with the team because she's stuck on this "Backwater Planet."

For inspiration, I would suggest basing her design on the chibi/child-like version of Lady Tokimi from the third OVA series of Tenchi Muyo anime.

Next we have Hisoko(Reserved). A dishonored Shinigami(Japanese death god) who is-after a three-hundred year long imprisonment/torture seasion, who must now wonder the world to regain said honor. As such, he is the Raven of the group, the expert on the paranormal and the 'Emo Bishie' you could say: always quiet, speaking only when spoken to/has something worthwhile to say, and always very polite, using the most polite and honorable suffixes when speaking to people, especially Bushido, the leader.
A female friend of mine introduced me to the series Death Note, which inspired me to use a Shinigami, so I can see Hisoko being either designed using the schemas built by the manga's creator(for those familiar with it), or being based on the main Shinigami Ryuk. [link]
Just remember not to make him so creepy/crazy looking.

And last but certainly not least, we have Akane(Deep Red), the Government Military Gyroid(female Android) with an attitude and mind of her own. ...........Oh yeah, and trigger-happy with all her concealed missle launchers, machine guns and lasers to the point of insanity. ^_^'

She was built as a Hunter/Killer assasin robot-though given how much firepower she packs, it's safe to assume she was also meant for more large-scale operations.
However, be it a glitch in the software, some miswiring in the hardware, or that her missing creater was more brilliant than anyone imagined, the prototype of PROJECT: Akane-01 developed a will of her own and found the idea of taking orders from "A buncha old geezers at a desk" rather distastful, and wanted to do things her own way, and further more wanted to do her own thing, so during a test she broke free and escaped the facility.
As the Science Guru/Cyborg of the group, Akane is always calculating the quickest, easiest, least risky and all around just plain best way to end a fight. Further more, she is knowledge able of almost every world threat conceivable.
And of course, she's always concocting experiments on Bushido, who she is very interested in with his magical weaponry, so she sees him as her personal-and unwilling-geunea-pig.
As an assasin, Akane was designed to be able to blend in, so she had to look as human as possible. The design she received was that of a dark-skinned girl in her late teens, very early twenties, with red eyes and red hair that looks somewhat like a crap, wearing a black sleaveless belly-shirt with white block-letter writing on it(don't know what), though I can't say for sure what her pants would be.

Anyway, like Amaterasu, Akane is based on a Tenchi Muyo character, this time Washu. Personally, I'd prefer it if the two characters shared the same voice atress. ^_^ [link] Feel free to take any cues you like from Washu's design. .....Except for the Nurse outfit that is.
